Every Sunday at 5pm we bring soup, sandwiches, dessert, coffee and water to the Homeless in St. Petersburg at Demen’s Landing at 1st Street and 1st Avenue South. Our crowd ranges from 30-80 people each week and includes families with children. We feed, minister, and uplift those in need to instill hope, show compassion, and share God’s love.
Whenever we have adequate donations, we bring socks, backpacks, hats, t-shirts, shorts, pants, soap, shampoo, hand lotion,toothpaste, female personal hygiene items, diapers, baby food, etc. to distribute.
We always need volunteers to make soup, sandwiches, to transport all the items necessary to serve, and/or to serve and minister at Demen’s Landing. Soup, sandwiches and desserts are usually prepared after our Sunday morning 10am service and then everything is transported from the church at 4:30pm. We then serve the food, distribute items, pray, sing, and fellowship together. Our goal is to feed everyone’s body and nourish their souls.
